Ettie can’t wait to put a smile on his face. For the first time in two years, Wyatt finds himself jolted out of his grief—and by a spunky, vivacious young woman who somehow sees right into his soul. What follows is a passionate weekend full of more life, laughter, and pure joy than he experienced in twenty years of marriage. After they part ways, Wyatt realizes that his feelings for Ettie run deeper than lust. He knows she has a boyfriend, but when he finds out that the boyfriend is his own son, Blake, Wyatt is shattered. He despairs of ever overcoming the guilt he’s slowly drowning in. But Ettie’s resilience and optimism might just save him after all. This Is Now is the sexy, heartwarming story of overcoming grief, embracing love, and learning to live in the moment. excerpt He didn't look up at me when he spoke. He was sopping up hollandaise sauce with a biscuit. "We should do this again, Ettie. Next weekend. How about it?" My heart was suddenly thundering in my ears. I watched him as he pointedly focused on cleaning his plate. "Are you asking me to be your girlfriend?" I asked. He finally looked up. Those blue eyes were hypnotic. And heartbreaking. "I'm asking you to have another fun weekend with me. That's what I'm asking." My eyes fluttered as they started to sting. "Do you need to get to know me better before asking me to be your girlfriend?" His jaw muscles tensed. "Ettie, I..." "Look, Wyatt. I have had just the absolute best time of my life with you this weekend. I have all the information I need to know I want to be in a relationship with you." He snorted and leaned back in his chair. "You don't know shit about me, Ettie. This was fun. But it was superficial and you know it." My chest constricted. I had to take a moment to swallow back the pain. "It wasn't superficial. I'm sorry it didn't mean as much to you as it did to me..." "It meant plenty and that's why I want to see you again. So let's do it, Ettie. Next weekend. We'll meet at the bar Friday and maybe we could road trip down to Gulf Shores or something. Or we could go zip-lining up at Cave City. All kinds of fun shit we could do together. That's what I want." "I want to go home with you." He looked away and shook his head in frustration. Meet the Author Carter Ashby was born and raised in Missouri. ***Recommended for ages 18+ due to sexual content and strong language.***

The Falling of Love (Falling #1)

Overall Rating 5 Stars

Wow, this book had my emotional all over the place. It was written beautifully, and done very well. This is a story about young love. The characters are very loveable and the story line was magical and believable. You have this young girl Grace and young boy Ian. Ian is a musician who really doesn’t fit in at school. Grace is so loveable and caring. They have so much chemistry and love for one another, but like all couples they do have their twist and turns. They both have thing to deal with. Intense things.  This book had my emotions out of whack. I was in tears so much during this book.
This is the first book I’ve read from this author and she did a wonderful job. I will definitely read more from this author. I recommend this book.

Excerpt:
Ian lies with his head on Grace’s stomach. Entwining their fingers together, they lie in silence on her bed. They have been this way for hours and he wishes they could stay like this forever. Only an occasional “I love you” is shared between them. Thunder cracks in the sky and startles Grace.

Ian chuckles and pulls her closer to his body. The rhythmic sound of the rain tapping against the rooftop and her comforting presence lures him into a state of pure relaxation, soothing his soul.

“I love the sound of the rain,” she says, as she traces the lines on his knuckle with the tip of her finger.

Ian raises his head to look into her eyes and smiles. “And I love you.”
Climbing on top of her, he lowers his lips to her neck. Grace lets out a heavy sigh that blows through his hair. Ian trails kisses down her neck, over her collarbone, and stops inches away from her lips. “Do you know that I love you, Gracie?”

“Yeah, I do, without a doubt.”

He kisses her. “I know you love me too, and it’s freaking amazing,” he says. “You know what I love?”
She smiles at him. “Me?”

He laughs. “Besides you. It’s something you do to me.”

She looks at him, puzzled. “What?”

“I love those soft, sweet kisses you give me on the cheek. It’s hands-down one of the best things you do to me.”

Grace brushes Ian’s long auburn hair out of his face and slowly leans into him. Her breath hits his cheek and the tip of her nose brushes his skin. She gives him a very soft, sweet kiss on his cheek.

“Ah yeah, babe. That’s it. That’s what I love. It’s so sweet and tells me that you love me without any words.” He reaches for her face and cups her chin in between his thumb and forefinger.
He pulls her face to his and sucks on her bottom lip. Gradually, he eases his tongue between her two lips and finds her eagerly awaiting his kiss.

“Do you know what I love, Ian?” she asks. Her words are a jumbled mess between Ian’s kisses.

“What, baby?” he says within a breath.

“I love kissing you. I could spend the rest of my life kissing only you. You’re the best kisser in the entire world.”

MY REVIEW!!
After Star (Curse of the Beast #3)

Overall Rating 5 Stars
Wow!! This is a fantastic book, that had me quite intrigued on page one! The author paints a picture with words that is fantastic. I was really impressed with this book. I wasn’t able to put it down. I really didn’t want it to end lol. Ashley does a wonderful job with the storyline and the characters, she makes you feel as if you are right there with them.

It was action packed, that brought on new characters. I really love this entire series. But I do believe this is my favorite of the three. It has some great twist and turns that will have you on the edge of your seat. Tayla is my favorite character. All you want is for Tayla and James (AKA Beast) to be together but so much happens. I don’t want to say too much, because this is a book that I highly recommend. I recommend the entire series. Great book that you re-read and not get bored with it. Great Job Ashley

After Star Except:

The house smelled like I’d just walked into a Tuscan Villa. Roasted tomatoes and pasta with… I inhaled again, sautéed portabella mushrooms, yum. My stomach rumbled. James bent over to get two plates heaped with yumminess out of the oven. The sight of him in his cream colored apron and those tight Wrangler jeans made it a toss-up as to what I was hungrier for, him or the pasta. He set the plates on the stove top, and I closed the distance between us. I threw my arms around his neck and kissed his throat. “I am so in love with you right now.”
His arms squeezed me closer. “Hmm, are you sure it isn’t the food talking?”
I laughed. “It might’ve added more to your charm tonight than usual.”
“That hungry, huh?” The silver streaks in his eyes conveyed his double meaning, leaving me at a loss for words as my stomach fluttered, and I blushed.
“Eww you guys. Get a room,” Erika said, pushing us playfully out of her way. “So does the teacher get any dinner? I worked hard, too, so stop ogling each other, and feed me.” She grinned.
We chuckled, and he handed her a plate. She sat at the table and dug in. My stomach twisted in hunger as I watched her. That blending-in-with-nature exercise was energy zapping work. I hadn’t been this hungry in a while.
James stroked my cheek. “You better eat, too. Sounds like progress was made, and it carved a hole in both of your stomachs.” The hopefulness in his voice made me glad I hadn’t failed today’s lesson.
“I did have a little success.” I teased him with my vagueness. Smiling sweetly at him, I grabbed my plate and joined Erika, who was smirking behind her glass of water.
“Out with it you two.” James sat next to us. “From the way you both are grinning, and the fact that you are hours late tells me something big happened.”
“Go ahead,” I said to Erika, who was bursting to share the news.
“Tayla, blended with a fir tree! She did such a great job, I had to coach her back to her human rhythm.” Erika plopped a forkful of pasta between her lips, her eyes glowing with pride.
James’ mouth fell open. “No?”
Erika’s smile grew, and she swallowed. “I am so glad you found her and brought her into the pack, James. I will finally have someone to teach all my secrets to.”
My lips stretched into a full blown smile. “James, did you hear that! We can train together. This is going to be fun!”
Erika threw James a sarcastic smile, and they both looked at me with amusement. “What? I am just excited.” Finally, I was good at something werewolf.
“We aren’t laughing at you, Tayla. I was just teasing James. You see he has talent, but nothing like the raw skill you possess to master it like I have,” Erika said.
“I have never fully melded my rhythm with anything. I am excellent at mimicking, but could never understand the depth Erika always spoke of. It is truly an amazing gift you have, Tayla.” He touched my knee and looked at me with such admiration that I blushed.
“Really, it was Erika. I couldn’t have done it without her guiding me. I’m not really even sure I can do it again.”
“Oh, she’ll do it again.” Erika winked at me. “She’s experienced the high and is now addicted. I don’t know, James, you might lose her to the forest.”
“Then I’ll just have to entertain her better.” He gave me a wicked grin.
“You’re in a mood,” I whispered, needing to fan my flushed cheeks and settle my fiery nerves.

Bittersweet Revenge by: J.L. Beck Release Day Blitz

Bittersweet Revenge
by J.L. Beck
Series: Bittersweet, #1
Genre: Mature YA/New Adult - Novella
Publish Date: July 26, 2014

I’m a slut. Or at least that’s what everyone calls me. I guess that’s what you get when everyone thinks you've slept with the whole football team and then some.

My junior year of high school I gave my heart to Corey Winchester. He was handsome, cocky, and a pure gentlemen. Then everything changed in an instant. When I found out he was spreading malicious rumors about me, after I refused to sleep with him I was utterly surprised. To add to it, he broke up with me in front of the whole school. I essentially became the laughing stock of the town. People that I once called my friends became my enemies. Finding a way to ruin my life one day at a time.

Now the shitty part is I should have known a pretty boy like him was too good to be true. After ruining my reputation and life I did everything I could to stay under the radar, but it just wasn't enough. I slowly learned that all the torment, and hate was all for one thing. Revenge. That’s what Corey wanted, and why I didn't know. Then Rex Winchester came along. Corey’s cousin, and someone I knew I shouldn't be getting close with. A whole six feet of hotness, a smile that melted the panties off of every girl in a fifty mile radius, and a heart of gold. He could have anyone he wanted, so why he chose me Corey’s ex, the bullied, slutty girl was beyond me. All I knew was that I wanted him. I wanted him more than anything. The problem was, I couldn't tell if Rex, was just like Corey or if his intentions were as innocent as he was making them out to be.

My names Jenna Haines, and this is the story of how the one thing I wanted.. turned out to be the one thing that would hurt me the most. What happens when the one thing you least expect to happen, does? When all the lies and secrets come out. Well you're about find out.

Our eyes met from across the table. His looking as if they were asking for more, answers. He looked curious, and I wasn’t looking for curious. “Yeah mine too. Let’s go get a shake. FFA still does that shake Friday thing right?” I asked. I could really go for a mint chocolate-chip shake right about now. We got up to dump our trays, but before I could move out of my seat an arm snaked around my shoulder pushing me back down. I turned all but growling as I realized the arm belonged to the mongrel Corey. “Remove your fucking arm from my body before I show you what it’s like to have your balls stuffed up your ass.” He smiled, a big toothy grin, dimples and all that use to have me melting in his hands, now I just wanted to puke all over his face. Distress singles were going off like crazy in my head.

“Tsk, tsk, is that anyway to talk to me Jenna?” He said his arm very much still around me. I was about to lose my shit. “Move on asshole, no one cares what you have to say.” Mimi yelled.

He tilted his head at her as if trying to find her one weakness. The best thing about Mimi was anything that he said to her she would brush off. I however wouldn't.

“Hmm. Why don’t you stop worrying about me, and put your tits back in your shirt. That is unless you're joining the slut club that Jenna here is the president of?” Mimi smiled, leaning across the table, giving him a huge eyeful of her cleavage. “I think your lost buddy, president of the slut club is Marie Jameson.” She replied in a sultry tone pointing to the end of the table.

“But in case you can’t find her let me draw you a map with some crayons, you go past leave us the fuck alone, turn right at fuck off, and oh look you're in slut country.” His eyes dilated, and I couldn’t hold my laughter in. Mimi always knew how to tell someone to fuck off.

I pushed his arm off of me, catching a smirk on Rex’s face at the end of the table, knowing he had probably heard the whole conversation.

Corey gazed at me, following my line of vision to Rex. As soon as I seen I was caught I dropped my eyes down to my tray. The last thing I needed was Corey having yet another thing to use against me. His face leaned into mine, I could feel his hot breath on my cheek. The last time we were in a position like this was the very last time he kissed me. It was the last time, he ever treated me like anything other than a door mat.

“I won't warn you off, because you know what I’m capable of Jenna. But if you think you have a chance with Rex you’re more than fucking wrong. Don’t cross me, you know as much as I do you don’t fit in with that crowd. I mean look at us, how well did that work out. If you think I make your life hard now, lets just say it can get ten times harder.” He whispered in my ear, wrapping a small strand of my hair around his finger before standing.

“Also you might want to start fighting your own battles. Oh and nice tits Mimi.” He said loudly well smirking. My heart was racing, as he walked away. An encounter like that never happened before. School had been in session only a week and I knew that he would more than live up to his word on hurting me.

“What a fucking douche-asshat-fucking-cumsucker” Mimi said under her breath as he walked away. I couldn't agree more, but I wasn't going to keep retaliating against him. One he wasn't worth it really, and two I would be out of here in nine short months. If I could just manage to get through it.

Mimi reached across the table and grabbed my hand, pushing me from my thoughts. “Don’t let his false threats get to you. He will get what’s coming to him, he will pay for what he’s done to you. Maybe not today, or tomorrow but someday. I swear to it Jenna.” She said sincerely.

“You know I love you right. If I was into girls I would totally choose you as my girlfriend. No homo of course.” She giggled. “Sorry love, but I’m very much into dick. Like a lot.” I laughed back. This was true friendship right here. Now to get through the rest of the day without another encounter from either of the Winchester boys.

http://amzn.to/1zV33eK“I can’t make you mine right now, Macie.” He sounded dejected.

“I know,” she whispered across his lips, this time pressing her mouth against his.

“I don’t trust anybody else with you,” he said as she deepened the kiss a little more, but he wasn’t letting her fully in.

She licked his top lip and a small groan came out against his wishes. “I know, Sugar Plum.” She kissed just his bottom lip; being the only participant in the kiss was becoming challenging.

Greyden laughed. “Noooo.” He gripped her face, stopping her ministrations. She scrunched up her nose at him. “Macie, remember our plans?”

She nodded. How could she forget? They had a future together, just not a present.

He tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear. “I promise to keep my mouth shut if you want to date, if you promise to date guys your own age and to be smart.”

Macie’s shoulders sagged in disappointment. That’s not where she was hoping he was going to go with that. “Grey, I don’t—”

“Butterfly,” he slides a finger to her lips effectively shushing her, “I wish I could be that guy for you right now, but I can’t. I know that others can’t either, but apparently you’re going to have to figure that one out on your own. That’s why I ask that you wait ‘til you’re eighteen for the major stuff. Because, Butterfly…God. Macie James, you’re not the girl guys screw around with. You’re the girl guys marry. You’re the girl I’m going to marry.”

Macie gasped in complete shock at his words. Stunned speechless. What does one say to that anyway?

Thankfully, she didn’t have to think too long. Greyden slid off the truck, coming in close contact along her body, not letting her back up. He leaned down, his lips hovering over hers momentarily, just barely brushing them before pressing the sweetest kiss to her hyper aware lips. His lips were soft and warm and Macie wanted to pull him even closer than he already was and open up to him, but that’s not the kind of kiss he was giving her. No, he was giving her a kiss of a promise, a promise of a future, of a friendship and of a love that will only bloom with time, that’s what this kiss was. It was kind of heartbreaking on her end. It may be what he wanted and needed right now, but he just told her he was going to marry her, yet she couldn’t really kiss him, or have him.
